Thelemistas!
Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law.

So, what are Thelemistas
?
First and foremost, we're Thelemites Liber AL I;40, which means that we accept The Book of the Law as the fundamental statement of our doctrine, and believe that our primary purpose in this life is to discover and do our Will Liber AL I;42.
Beyond that, we believe that the path to Enlightenment is not a toll road. It doesn't require joining any organization or paying any dues to have someone teach you what to think. Everything necessary to achieve that goal is available free of charge, and without needing to call anyone Master
. We believe a lot in community, and very little in hierarchy.
The Fire is not defiled by the altars of the Ghebers-- Liber Cordis Cincti Serpente V:19
The gods, being all Force, don't care about Form. The only ones who care about Form are the animal people, to whom status, and power, and position, and all the things Liber Legis tells us not to be cowed by, matter above all force of energy and fire of motion, and will always do so. And it is these people who will come to temporal power, because it is them to whom that power matters. But those who can hold focus on the target of the arrow, they will not be cowed by temporal power, because they know that any Form is only a channel for the pure Force.
— Sor. Marfiza
It would be wrong to call us anarchists, though. That term has been co-opted and turned into a simple rejection of authority in all its forms. We don't reject it; rather, we internalize it: we are our own governors, in accordance with our Will. We're not anarchists, we're suarchists
— we believe that the Self must govern the Self, and that ultimately, nothing else can.
However, self-governance isn't easy, and it isn't free: it takes dedication and a lifetime of work and study. (But the rewards are well worth it, even if you do need to stop every once in a while and remember why you're putting yourself through this.) The work, you have to do yourself. The study, we can help with — or at least we can point you down the road. The entire body of human knowledge divides into four basic groups: things you really need to know (words to live by); things that will help you understand and internalize those things; other stuff that will probably be helpful; and everything else, stuff you can ignore.
(Those will eventually be links to various libraries. For now, you'll just have to pretend. Or laugh at us, or something.)
...So how do you contact us?
The obvious way is by email. But if you happen to be in or near the San Francisco Bay area, you could also come hang out with us. We get together every Saturday evening to perform the Gnostic Mass, have dinner, and talk. You're welcome to show up. If you want to know who the Mass team is and what's for dinner, we have a mailing list.
If anything can survive the probe of humour it is clearly of value, and conversely all groups who claim immunity from laughter are claiming special privileges which should not be granted.

Okay, Beast, we've got your number.
Who calls us Thelemites will do no wrong, if he look but close into the word. For there are therein Three Grades, the Hermit, and the Lover, and the man of Earth. Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.
Let it be that state of manyhood bound and loathing. So with thy all; thou hast no right but to do thy will.
Accept the worship of the foolish people, whom thou hatest. The Fire is not defiled by the altars of the Ghebers, nor is the Moon contaminated by the incense of them that adore the Queen of Night.
I am not an Anarchist in your sense of the word: your brain is too dense for any known explosive to affect it.
Resistance to tyrants is obedience to god.
